Episode #69: Will Project 2025 Lead to Fascism in the US?

When President Donald Trump took office for a second time, pundits weren't exactly sure what to expect. 

But what he has unleashed in the last 8 months since his return is far more shocking and sinister than some imagined– mass deportations, thousands of non-white residents sent to concentration camps and detention centers, attacks on trans and LGBTQ rights, reductions to health care, mass firings of federal workers and attacks on free speech.

Trump did not act alone. But rather, his actions are part of Project 2025, a right-wing, fascist manifesto led by the conservative think tank Heritage Foundation. The Foundation, made up of 100 organizations, lays out a Christian nationalist agenda and aims to dismantle the government as well as fill the coffers of billionaires.

What actions is the Resistance taking to defend against Project 2025 policies?  And will legislative efforts such as California’s Proposition 50 and Democratic plans to support a federal shutdown put an end to Trump’s attacks?
